Ladies and gentlemen, After months [or years, if my count is wrong] of hiatus, we are back. I am not sure how is this going to work, but I am, and current and future authors are definitely trying hard to work on it. From the previous United LSians, our goal is quite different. From a social network, United LSians now serves like a newspaper where LSian students, past or present, can post their work, and showcase it to not only LSians, but to the whole world. I think my vision for this website is great, and I hope it succeeds.

Anyway, join me after the break to see exclusive previous United LSians logos and a quick history of the website.

This logo was used on the early days of United LSians. It is not the first logo, but this logo was used for a very long time when UL was still hosted under Ning. Another long-running logo is the one below:

When Ning stopped their free service, United LSians was forced to move to a new web host and thus sporting a new logo which is this one:

This logo didn't run for so long, as new webhosts ceased their free services as well. Anyway, right now is what matters, and I just hope you like the new logo!

The New Logo

I'm not gonna lie, but my inspiration for this new logo is Windows Phone. The square orange box proves simplicity, and resembles Windows Phone's tile UI. I used Helvetica as the site's font, as my personal blog, MichaelJacob.net, already sports Segoe UI. There's nothing wrong with Helvetica, I think it looks good in its own way, and with the use of it in the logo, it reminds me of American Idol and 24.

Lastly, I want to encourage any LSians out there to submit an article or register for authorship! There are plenty of slots left, so submit your email addresses in the comments below!

Let us all be creative! Start working people!
